Chorosophy is an academy dedicated to reviving the ancient art of sacred dance,
inspired by the temple traditions, myths, and somatic wisdom of ancient Greece.
Through weekly classes, workshops, retreats, and embodied practice,
Chorosophy invites not only dancers of all backgrounds,
but everyone who wishes to reconnect with the poetic intelligence of movement.

Meet Arsinoe Lilly
Arsinoe Lilly Karadima is a choreographer, performer, and artistic director deeply rooted in the language of ancient movement. With years of experience in contemporary and ritual dance, she has devoted her work to the revival of sacred dance inspired by Ancient Greek philosophy, mythology, and the spirit of the temple.
Through her choreographic vision and somatic research, she created Atrapos Dance Culture, a professional dance group exploring myth, memory, and embodiment.
Chorosophy is the next evolution — a space for teaching, sharing, and remembering the wisdom of sacred motion. Not only for professional dancers, but open to everyone who wishes to explore and connect body and mind to nature and the wisdom of ancient ritual dance.
Arsinoe teaches workshops, seminars, and retreats in Greece and abroad, inviting dancers and non-dancers alike to reconnect with the poetic intelligence of the moving body.
Why Chorosophy?
What you will explore
The method
Learn the foundations of Ruby Ginner’s approach to movement, inspired by ancient Greek art and philosophy. You will explore postures, lines, and gestures that connect body and spirit through clarity, harmony, and expressive depth.
Movement qualities
Discover four core qualities – Apollonian, Bacchic, Athletic, and Lyrical – each offering a unique way to move, feel, and express. These qualities awaken different emotional and energetic states that you can carry into daily life.
Sacred gestures
Experience hand and body positions drawn from friezes, statues, and rituals. From gestures of offering to invocations, these movements open a space for intention, presence, and connection to something greater than yourself.
Rythm & Harmony
Explore the rhythmic patterns of antiquity – from solemn processions to ecstatic celebrations. You’ll learn how rhythm shapes movement, mood, and group unity.
Types of Dances in Antiquity
Travel through time to understand ceremonial, theatrical, athletic, and festive dances of the ancient world. Each style brings a unique insight into community, storytelling, and human experience.
Archetype Embodiment
Step into the energy of ancient archetypes – the warrior, the muse, the priestess, the celebrant. Through movement, you’ll explore their strengths and wisdom, and integrate these qualities into your own life.
Through Chorosophy, movement becomes a bridge to myth and symbol.
This is not just about dance – it’s about discovering parts of your soul, reconnecting with deep roots,
and finding guidance and inspiration that supports your growth every day.
